Tara Schwartz was born in Long Island, New York. Tara was heavily involved in sports her entire life. As a college athlete, Tara spent countless hours in training and recovery.  Her love of sports, training and recovery led her to her passion: physical therapy and helping people.  It is with this passion that she decided to open Advance Physical Therapy & Wellness. She then switched her company over to Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center in August 2016.

Tara graduated with an Advanced Master of Physical Therapy Degree from the Institute of Physical Therapy in St. Augustine in 1996. Prior to attending the Institute of Physical Therapy, St. Augustine, Tara attended Cortland State University where she completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Exercise Physiology.

Tara is continuously looking to further her expertise through professional continuing education courses with a focus on orthopedics, sports injury and manual therapy; recently receiving training on Kinesiology Taping. Some of her continuing education includes spine training, as well as focus on treatment for the extremities and joints throughout the body.  She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Florida Physical Therapists in Private Practice Association which helps her stay current in the latest trends and studies.

Outside of the clinic, Tara enjoys being active, cheering on her NY Giants and spending time with her friends, family and favorite little Shit-zu, Vegas.

A uniquely balanced path to optimal fitness

Cupping pulls blood to a region to stimulate healing. It helps the tissue develop new blood flow and causes anti-inflammatory chemicals in the body. Cupping helps reduce pain, promotes relaxation, boosts skin health, helps treat respiratory issues and colds, and improves digestion.

Laser therapy generates a photochemical response on damaged tissue by a process called photobiomodulation. This process stimulates healing on a cellular level by enabling cells to more rapidly produce energy. It is scientifically proven to reduce pain and inflammation as well as:

- The treatments are fast, safe, painless and most patients experience results after only a few sessions

- The treatments are administered in as little as 4 to 10 minutes

- Allows for deeper tissue penetration, resulting in fast, efficient and consistent results

The DMS uses percussion, mechanical vibrations that reach deep into the muscle tissue to stimulate proprioceptive functions. The DMS then provides the patient or athlete with the benefits of:

- Increased circulation

- Reduced pain

- Faster rehabilitation from injury

- Increased lymphatic flow

- Break up of muscular scar tissue

- Reduced lactic acid build up

- Tissue Regeneration

- Soft & Active tissue release
